Ok, its 10:10 and I am loosing track of things.\u00a0 First of all the internet connection at this hotel, the one in Cuzco, casa something\u2026 sucks.\u00a0 Worse then not working, it kinda works and I have to sit in the courtyard to get a decent signal AND I forgot my cable!!!!!!!!!!\u00a0 Doh!\u00a0 They of course did not have one.
\nLima looked like a war zone and they lost.\u00a0 They said something about rebuilding stuff\u2026
\nWe were told last night by Alphonso, ok I really don\u2019t remember his name, that the airport was not problem, well they checked my bag.\u00a0 That worked out ok, but that was condor error #1.\u00a0 Then when we go t to the hotel we met Lauren there.\u00a0 She was waiting in the sitting area waiting for us, YEAH!\u00a0 That was the good news.\u00a0 Vanessa, might really be her name, gave me a price to include Lauren in the tour, but did not take a card number wanted us to pay Carlos, again, maybe his name , for the tour.\u00a0 I told her to just put it on the credit card\u2026.\u00a0 Oh yea, I think it was about this time I determined that my ATM card was missing\u2026 my screw up, ,mad at me, cancelled the card\u2026 The bank asked if I wanted another one, I said sure, meet me in Santiago\u2026\u00a0 no go.
\nThe hotel people wanted $$$ for Lauren and gave us a bed, no biggy, bug they would not let us pay for it until we check out at oh\u2026 5:00 AM!\u00a0 Fun is.
\nThen we met Carlos for the first tour.\u00a0 He wants cash money to include Lauren.\u00a0 I give him cash money and he has to talk to the office several times.
\nThe tour of Cuzco was good.\u00a0 Those Spaniards were not nice, AND apparently they had some miracles help them extinguish the Inca\u2019s\u2026 hmmm\u00a0 .
\nI talked several time to Condor and might have gotten Lauren straightened out\u2026<\/p>\n
oh yea, Lauren is my daughter who is studying in Santiago, Chile and met us in Cuzco for part of our trip.
\nWe got a bunch of great pictures that you won\u2019t see\u00a0 for a while.\u00a0 See earlier rant\u2026\u00a0 We went to the Temple of the Sun God.\u00a0 He (the sun god) was not around.\u00a0 There was some light rain, it was pretty cool though\u2026 see pictures 104cannon.\u00a0 The altitude did not bother us much at all.\u00a0 We were out of breath a couple of times, but we had to catch up with our tour and go places that were a little more out of the way.
\nFood:
\nLunch, was good, I had trout, Marlo had chicken, and Lauren had some veggie thing\u2026 it was ok, and not too expensive\u2026
\nnow\u00a0 dinner, that was a whole nother deal.\u00a0 I won\u2019t keep you in suspense, it was very good!\u00a0 I did pick the place from the list that Venessa would not commit too.
\nI had tacu tacu (alpaca) with praline and risotto and an egg, excellent.\u00a0 Marlo had stuffed chicken and Lauren had veggie raviolis.
\nwe shopped and those vendors are relentless!!!!!!!!!!\u00a0 There is a picture of an 8 year old hawking finger puppets!\u00a0 Gives a whole new meaning to tenacious!!!<\/p>\n
We have a 4:15 wakeup call\u2026\u00a0 we got up this morning at 6:00\u2026\u00a0 We have a 1.5 hour van ride and a 3 hour train ride and a tour of Muchu Picchu tomorrow.\u00a0 I should sleep soon, but I am uploading pictures\u2026<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
