Thursday.\u00a0 Ok, just barley Thursday.\u00a0 Still the day before our next adventure.\u00a0 We are off to Florida.\u00a0 We are going to be staying with Marlo\u2019s friends for a few days.\u00a0 While we are down there it turns out that there is a big race nearby.\u00a0 You may have heard of it.\u00a0 I think that it is in Daytona.\u00a0 It is a long race.\u00a0 I think that it is rather long.\u00a0 Maybe 500 miles or so.\u00a0 Now let\u2019s put this together, it\u2019s in Daytona and it\u2019s\u00a0 500 miles.\u00a0 Yup we are going to the Daytona 500.\u00a0 Why you may ask.\u00a0 Neither one of us really care about Nascar, but it is the largest spectator sport in the world and this is the big event A ND we just happen to be there that week.\u00a0 We are in!\u00a0 After that we might go visit the everglades.\u00a0 I have always wanted to do that\u2026 and we are going to be down there.\u00a0 So we will go.\u00a0 Now these are both significant thing there is one more thing.\u00a0 I plan on backpacking from Venice Beach Florida to Miami Florida.\u00a0 After I get to Miami I plan to get a car and spend a few days in the keys.\u00a0 Don\u2019t you like the sound of that\u2026\u00a0 in the keys\u2026 :>
\nThe aforementioned backpacking is more like a long walk across the peninsula that we call Florida.\u00a0 According to Google maps, that now has walking as an option, it could only take 2 days and 16 hours.\u00a0 I think that means 64 hours of walking.\u00a0 That would be 8 days of 8 hours\u2026 hmmm, Delormes, said 4 days.\u00a0 It also sent me through the alligator infested everglades\u2026\u00a0 we won\u2019t be doing that.\u00a0 Anyway, it should make for some interesting writing\u2026
\nSome, ok probably everyone, wonder why I would do such a thing\u2026\u00a0 well the short of it (I will leave out the long of it) is that the opportunity has presented itself and it should be an interesting adventure.
\nI plan on hitching, sleeping on the ground, walking A LOT, and going to those all night diners that you read about.\u00a0 It should be \u2026 urban survivor.\u00a0 Maybe I can sell the rights\u2026\u00a0 I am currently making a list of things that I need.\u00a0 The short list is GPS, Cell Phone, a camera and Laptop.\u00a0 Maybe some clothes, a tarp, a raincoat, flashlight, matches, a lighter\u2026\u00a0 I will make a complete list.\u00a0 I will take some pictures and make some videos too.\u00a0 It should be amusing\u2026\u00a0 that\u2019s all for tonight.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
