So we fly into Cincinnati and get off the plane for a bit.\u00a0 Marlo immediately asks the person at the gate how much is it to upgrade to first class.\u00a0 It was $100.\u00a0 The lady barely finished the sentence and Marlo smacked down her credit card and declared that we were in.\u00a0 Now, first class is a beautiful thing.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Especially if you drink and you don\u2019t have to drive when you get to wherever you are going\u2026\u00a0 Well I am not drinking AND we had to drive an hour to our condo.\u00a0 Marlo on the other hand go the very most out of first class.\u00a0 She had a beer on the ground and had wine the rest of the way to Utah\u2026\u00a0 She was actually in pretty good shape when we got there.\u00a0 We had to wait for out ski bags in the special baggage area.\u00a0 While I waited for the bags, Marlo went to look for the Hertz desk.\u00a0 It turns out that the Hertz desk is across the street from baggage claim\u2026\u00a0 now how much sense does that make???\u00a0 You can take an elevator up walk over and then back down, but nahhhhh\u2026\u00a0 We wait for our ski stuff and chat with some people that were also in first class. It turns out that they rode for free because the woman works for the airline\u2026 nice.\u00a0 They had two older kids in tow.\u00a0 Her grand kids\u2026\u00a0 She did not look that old\u2026\u00a0 to me\u2026 hmmm, what does that tell you.???\u00a0 So we get our stuff and I throw my ski bag over my shoulder and out of the way and Marlo tosses her snowboard across her rolley bag.\u00a0 Well she did not actually take anyone completely out, but there were some people making some quick moves to make the wide path.\u00a0 It was actually pretty funny.\u00a0 Remember this is midnight in Utah.\u00a0 So instead of going up over down and around, Marlo decides to go \u2026 through\u2026.\u00a0 Through the baggage claim across 4 lanes of traffic and into the Hertz office located conveniently across the street.\u00a0 All went just fine until we went to cross the first street.\u00a0 There was a young woman standing on the sidewalk and Marlo tapped her on the shoulder and she took one step to the left to avoid being run over.\u00a0 It was all good.\u00a0 One woman was laughing.\u00a0 Well this one guy starts to go off on Marlo.\u00a0 I have to admit, I was a little scared for him\u2026\u00a0 it happened so\u00a0 fast.\u00a0 He snaps at her that she has to stop right now and this can\u2019t continue and she is a horrible person and she almost hit this girls, etc, etc\u2026\u00a0 well, Marlo whips around and gives it right back to him.\u00a0 He was quiet after that, but we were long gone too\u2026\u00a0 we met the same people from first class over at Hertz.\u00a0 Marlo had a coupon for Hertz for a free upgrade.\u00a0 Cool beans!\u00a0 Did I mention that is was snowing\u2026 a lot when we landed???\u00a0 Well yea there was about 6 inches on the ground.\u00a0 I mentioned the we should upgrade to something with four wheel drive.\u00a0 Marlo thought that was a pretty good idea, but it was going to cost more than the free upgrade and balked at it\u2026 twice.\u00a0 I pushed the issue.\u00a0 We got a four wheel drive, but not a big one.\u00a0 We ended up with a Subaru Empreza.\u00a0 A capable car, but wimpy.\u00a0 Especially our here in cowboy country.\u00a0 They have some BIG trucks out here.\u00a0 There were some that could have run us over and never stopped.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
